Michael Barmak, MSW, LCSW
For the past 25 years, Michael Barmak, MSW, LCSW has been in private practice teaching Inner Bonding to individuals and couples. In 2001, he became one of the first Inner Bonding facilitators. He has led, co-led, or assisted cofounder Dr. Margaret Paul at more than 50 Inner Bonding intensives, workshops, and facilitator trainings in the United States. Within the coming years, Barmak will be one of several senior Inner Bonding Facilitators designated by Dr. Margaret Paul to take over and run Inner Bonding Educational Technologies, Inc. Barmak has been an adjunct lecturer in the Rutgers University MSW program and a postpartum trainer for both the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Partnership for Maternal Health Northern Consortium. As a couple’s therapy expert, Barmak has been profiled on the acclaimed PBS series Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy. He has a Master’s of Social Work from New York University, ordination as a spiritual minister through the Association of the Integration of the Whole Person (AIWP), and certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist.
