LCD Projector Overview

99% of PESI speakers utilize a projector for their presentations.  If you don’t currently travel with your own, PESI is happy to provide you with one.  Here’s the process:

  • Please note your request on the Audio/Visual Request Form (www.pesi.com/speakerinfo
  • PESI will be in touch with you 3-4 weeks ahead of your event to determine the best plan to meet your needs in a cost-effective way (either shipped to you or to the venue directly).
  • We keep an inventory of projectors on hand and have experts who will help customize a good travel setup for you based on location, venue, and expense.  Our two most common models are:  Epson Powerlite 1781 or 1761 and Dell M318WL

Inputs and Adapters:

Almost all our projectors can handle a few basic inputs: VGA, HDMI, and USB.  If your laptop does not have these basic connections, then you will likely need an adapter that can fit VGA or standard HDMI.  We do carry some adapters in our inventory and ship them as needed, but it’s always best to be prepared with your own if you plan on traveling and presenting often.

To determine which connection you’ll need, first identify your laptop’s make and model and we’ll be happy to help you from there. Note:  For Apple laptops, identifying your Mac may be helpful to determine the make and model.  If you use any Mac, you’ll likely need a Mini DisplayPort or a USB-C (sometimes called Thunderbolt 3) adapter.

Presentation Remotes:

Though not required, this is an item you may want to invest in, as they do not come standard with our projectors.

If you have any questions about PESI’s projector process, feel free to reach out to Beth Lee at blee@pesi.com. (715-864-5325) Otherwise, we will be in touch with you via email approximately 3-4 weeks ahead of your event to work out a projector plan.

Thank you!
