Kristen Carder
Kristen Carder is an ADHD educator, certified life coach, podcast host, and founder of I Have ADHD Podcast & Coaching. She is also the author of the new book You’re Not in Trouble: The ADHD Guide to Building Healthy, Connected Relationships. Kristen specializes in trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches to adult ADHD, with particular focus on emotional regulation, executive functioning, shame, and relationship dynamics.
Kristen has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with ADHD and learning differences, including early work with children and adolescents and the past 6 years focused exclusively on adults with ADHD. She is the creator and program director of FOCUSED, an ADHD coaching membership that has served more than 5,000 adults with ADHD since 2020 through coaching, psychoeducation, community support, and skills-based learning.
She is the host of the highly acclaimed I Have ADHD podcast, with over 10 million audio downloads and more than 17,000 YouTube subscribers. Her work explores the lived experience of ADHD, including emotional dysregulation, rejection sensitivity, relational functioning, and self-compassion.
Kristen holds a General Life Coaching Certification and a Trauma-Informed Coaching Certification. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and has completed extensive continuing education in trauma-informed care and ADHD.
Kristen has presented at SpaceX and CHADD conferences, trained therapists and helping professionals on working with adults with ADHD, and conducted survey-based research involving more than 2,100 adults with ADHD focused on relationship experiences, shame, emotional safety, and interpersonal connection.
