Katherine "Kate" Witt, MS, CCC-SLP
Katherine “Kate” Witt, MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist at Wellington-Alexander Center who specializes in language, literacy, and dyslexia assessment and intervention. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from The University of Alabama and her Master of Science in Communicative Disorders from Arizona State University. Kate joined the Wellington-Alexander Center team in 2023 during her clinical fellowship year and continued with the center following completion of her fellowship. Her work focuses on supporting students with language and literacy challenges through evidence-based assessment and intervention. Because she personally experienced intensive intervention for dyslexia as a student, she brings both professional expertise and lived insight into her work in literacy assessment and intervention.
In addition to her clinical practice, Kate is involved in literacy advocacy and public speaking efforts that promote awareness, understanding, and support for individuals with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. While attending the University of Alabama, she served as president of her Pi Beta Phi chapter, an organization whose philanthropic mission centers on literacy and educational access. Her background in leadership, advocacy, and service reflects a longstanding commitment to communication, literacy, and helping others succeed.
