Joel Simon, LCSW, ACSW, BCD has over 30 years experience as a therapist, clinical program supervisor, presenter and trainer. For the past 17 years, he has practiced and taught solution-focused brief therapy. Joel has authored several professional journal articles on solution-focused applications and is the co-author of a book on solution-focus with long-term users of mental health systems. He is a founding member of the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Association. In addition, Joel has completed advanced training in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and completed advanced training with the co-developers of solution-focus, Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer.
