Heidi Kiely, PT, DPT

Heidi Kiely graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from West Virginia University in 2015 with an emphasis in aquatic therapy and obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in 2019. She gained a passion for working with people with spinal cord injuries while volunteering at adaptive sporting events and beach days. Following graduation, she worked in acute care and inpatient rehab on the spinal cord injury team at Vidant Medical Center in North Carolina. Heidi then went on to pursue a Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency at the Shepherd Center to further enhance her expertise in spinal cord injury. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and currently works as an inpatient therapist at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA SCI/D Center in Denver, CO. She serves as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students and as a mentor in the Neurologic Physical Therapy Residence program. Heidi is passionate about using evidence-based practice and implementing a variety of tools to achieve ideal patient outcomes.
