The burnout, the sleepless nights, the irritability that creeps into your work and your life — these aren’t just personal struggles. They’re professional risks. Ethical missteps, clouded judgment, and compromised client care all follow when clinicians run on empty.
That’s why we brought in ethics expert Adrianne Sturtevant, LICSW, who’s trained clinicians across the country on the one skill set most of us were never taught: how to say no, set firm boundaries, and actually protect yourself without sacrificing the clients who depend on you.
And here’s the best part. This training is absolutely FREE.
This isn’t a feel-good seminar about bubble baths and journaling. This is practical, ethics-grounded training that will give you the tools to safeguard your well-being, your practice, and your license.
Through engaging discussion, real-world activities, and hands-on skill building, Adrianne will show you exactly how boundaries and self-care are ethically intertwined — and what the latest ethics codes actually require of you.
You’ll walk away equipped to handle it all, including:
- Setting and maintaining boundaries with confidence
- Applying ethical decision-making frameworks rooted in your own values
- Navigating the latest ethics codes and guidelines on self-care
- Integrating boundary-setting into your treatment planning

Boundary violations, burnout, and ethical missteps don’t always announce themselves.
They can look like relief when a client cancels, a documentation note that gets vaguer as discomfort with a case grows, or a small scheduling exception that quietly becomes the norm. For many clinicians, these warning signs go unnoticed until the damage is already done.
Ethics expert Adrianne Sturtevant, LICSW, draws on years of training clinicians nationwide to deliver a practical, engaging deep-dive into the intersection of self-care and professional ethics. She’ll offer real-world guidance on how personal well-being directly impacts your clinical judgment, your client relationships, and your compliance with the ethical codes that govern your practice.
Leave with concrete skills to set and maintain firm boundaries, navigate the latest ethics guidelines on self-care, and build a sustainable approach to your own well-being that holds up under the pressures of everyday clinical work.
You’ve given so much to your clients and your career. Don’t let neglecting yourself be the thing that puts it all at risk.
You’ll get:
- A full day of live expert-led training
- Interactive Q&A
- Opportunities to connect with colleagues
