Kids don't have an on/off switch...
Often when I work with kids, especially those with executive function difficulties, they struggle to modulate their attention, emotions and behaviors.
In this video, I demonstrate a fun mindfulness practice that will help kids identify and activate their different zones of regulation.
This engaging practice can be easily incorporated into your work with kids and teens to help them get in tune with their body as well as identify and shift the gears of their “silliness” at school, home and daily life.
Enjoy the video,
Christopher Willard, Psy.D.
Just like a shaken jar of glitter, our thoughts can make it hard to think and see clearly.
Watch Dr. Chris Willard practice the H.A.L.T. mindful check-in to relax the mind and body – and glitter... so we can stay attuned to our thoughts and behaviors.
