She uses her public behavioral health experience to assist providers to navigate complex regulatory and legal issues that arise while delivering behavioral health and integrated care including, but not limited to, substance use record disclosures, licensing requirements, and reimbursement challenges.

Objectives

1. Inspect what investors are looking for in due diligence.
2. Assess DEA new requirements.

Outline

• Discussing who are the owners? Is there documentation providing who the owners are? A discussion of ensuring that all legal documents regarding ownership are properly in place
• A review of corporate practice of medicine and why it is important to investors
• A review of fee-splitting statues
• A review of Medicaid and Medicare compliance and incident-to billing
• A review of what investors are expecting to see for a compliance program perspective

• Discussion of the DEA previous proposed rule and current rule (expected to be released right before the conference)
• Discussion of state prescribing laws that promote tele prescribing and those that still hinder it
• Discussion of the field of Ketamine and how tele prescribing rules are playing out in this specific area

• A “101” reviewing of what AI is and how it is currently in the mental health space as well as what are the ethical and legal concerns with AI
• A review of laws that protect substance use disorder records and a discussion of the new 42 CFR Part 2 rules that are expected to be released by the time of the conference
