Description

  • For the child you can’t stop thinking about and can’t seem to reach
  • Break through severe dysregulation with integrated sensory, behavioral, and trauma-informed interventions
  • Walk away with concrete strategies that work when traditional approaches don’t

You likely have a child on your caseload who seems to challenge every intervention you know – biting, screaming, shutting down, or storming out.

Most training programs don’t prepare clinicians for children whose dysregulation stems from overlapping sensory, trauma-related, cognitive, and neurological factors. Without an integrated framework, we improvise, escalate, and burn out – while these kids fall further behind.

In this six-hour training, John Pagano, PhD, OTR/L, draws on more than 30 years of experience across NICU, early intervention, school, group home, and psychiatric settings to provide a comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing severe dysregulation. Integrating behavioral science, sensory modulation, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and therapeutic movement, Dr. Pagano offers practical tools for supporting children with complex needs across a variety of environments.

You’ll leave with strategies you can individualize across severity levels and settings, ready to use immediately:

  • Differentiate sensory, trauma-based, and behavioral drivers of dysregulation
  • Match intervention strategies to the nervous system’s actual state, not just the surface behavior
  • Build individualized regulation plans across severity spectrum, from low to high support needs
  • Apply techniques across settings, including individual sessions, classrooms, and group homes
  • Use mindfulness and movement-based tools alongside traditional behavioral approaches
  • Walk away with concrete strategies ready to implement Monday morning

Whether you’re working in schools, clinics, community programs, or residential settings, this training will help you confidently assess and respond to complex dysregulation. Register now to gain practical, evidence-informed strategies you can put into practice right away.
