Description
Not a neuro specialist? We still need neuro skills! Even in orthopedics, you will encounter patients with neurological challenges. Delve into the complexities of treating adults with traumatic brain injuries, CVA, TIA, concussions, spinal cord trauma, and related orthopedic diagnoses. Explore the associated movement patterns, including how primitive reflex and synergistic patterns emerge when the cortex, midbrain, or brainstem are injured. Learn simple and effective neuroplasticity techniques to reduce spasticity and tone, promoting active movement and enhancing overall function. Walk away with tools to measure the ability changes in patients and design home programs that are both practical and beneficial for long term recovery.
