Description
This course discusses trauma as a primary etiology of depressive, anxiety, and addictive disorders. It provides a framework for understanding the causal relationship between adverse childhood events, the development of ego-dystonic psychiatric conditions, and the subsequent development of addictive disorders. Participants are shown how use of this framework in case formulation can help guide the choice of therapeutic intervention based upon current symptom severity and stage of recovery.
