  • Translate complex neurobiological research into clinically relevant insight
  • How long COVID, Lyme, chronic fatigue and other autoimmune diseases can impact mental health
  • Integrate medical awareness into clinical case assessment
  • Review key pharmacology

When clients present with low mood, anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, or irritability we’re not always getting the whole story.

Inflammation, immune activation, hormonal shifts, and chronic illness profoundly shape brain function, emotional regulation, and psychological resilience.

But many therapists were not taught this in grad school and the field continues to emerge.

That’s why you need this training with Christina Cowger, MFT, clinician and educator specializing in the intersection of chronic illness, inflammation, and mental health.

She’s taught countless mental health clinicians and physicians lecturing at places like Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, the California Naturopathic Association, Sonoma State University and more.

In just 3 hours she’ll translate complex medical and neurobiological research into clinically relevant insight for mental health professionals …

… helping you uncover how inflammation, immune system issues and biological stressors impact mood disorders and how you can factor that into your work to help clients – without overstepping your scope.

You’ll discover:

  • Key neurochemicals and how they’re impacted by chronic illness and inflammation
  • How long COVID, Lyme, chronic fatigue and other autoimmune diseases impact mental health
  • Barriers to treatment, socioeconomic limitations of care, gender and racial bias
  • How to integrate medical awareness into clinical case assessment
  • A review of key novel pharmacology that highlights inflammatory drivers of mood disorders

This training will help you more fully understand the context of your clients’ suffering …and help them find relief.
