Evaluating autism in adults presents distinct clinical challenges.

Presentations that were missed, masked, or misattributed in childhood often surface differently in adulthood, and many widely used tools were normed on children – leaving clinicians to navigate diagnostic uncertainty with limited guidance.

That’s why we put together this training with Dug Y. Lee Lebel, PhD, ABPP.

Dr. Dug is a board-certified couple and family psychologist who has trained professionals across the country on initial autism diagnosis in adulthood for a variety of groups including the American Psychological Association.

In this 3-hour program, Dr. Dug will share the most commonly used assessment methods, tools, and strategies, grounded in current research on the unique presentation of autism in adulthood.

Rather than prescribing a single approach, she will help attendees construct an individualized framework aligned with their own theoretical orientation, clientele, and practice setting.

PLUS this program offers clinical case examples, recorded evaluations, and structured worksheets to help students learn.

This training is appropriate as a primer for clinicians newer to autism assessment or as a current-practice update for experienced evaluators.
