Joni R. Kerr, is an attorney and member of the Law Offices of Joni R. Kerr, PLLC in Vancouver, Washington, She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Law where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team and the Order of Barristers. She clerked for the Ohio Court of Appeals. Ms. Kerr was in private practice in Omaha, NE as a civil litigator until she moved to the State of Washington. She began representing public school districts in 1991. Ms. Kerr’s practice is limited to representing public school districts and administrators in the State of Washington. Her work has included advising school districts with respect to special education, Section 504, student discipline and personnel matters. She represented the Third Congressional District on the Washington State Bar Association Board of Governors, and was elected WSBA treasurer during her final year on the board. Ms. Kerr has also served two terms on the board of the Washington Council of School Attorneys. In addition to providing inservice training on a variety of topics for school districts, she has presented at numerous seminars, including the Washington School Law Academy and the Pacific Northwest Institute on Special Education and the Law.
