VICKI M LEOPOLD, LCSW

Vicki M. Leopold, LCSW, is a clinical social worker with licensing in both Georgia and New York. She has been in private practice in Georgia for 10 years where she specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Over the last 11 years, Vicki has conducted over 500 social skills group meetings and offers social skills training and supervision for other social workers. Previously, Vicki worked in a New York private school, Variety Child Learning Center, where she was a team leader working with parents and other professionals to coordinate services for special education children and offer training and support to parents. While a consultant at various parenting agencies, Vicki helped design a group training program for moms. She was elected for two terms as a school board trustee and served on the Half Hollow Hills School Board in Dix Hills, NY for six years. Vicki has been recognized by the New York State School Association and the Town of Huntington for her dedicated service and child advocacy. She has spoken at libraries, on cable television, at Fayetteville Asperger’s Association, Special Ops, and was a presenter in 2005 at the NASW conference in Georgia. Vicki was contributing editor for the Fayette Woman Magazine and published articles on Social Skills and Anxiety in children. She has contributed her group process to a college textbook titled: Autism Spectrum Disorders.
