DENA RABINOWITZ, PH.D.

Dr. Rabinowitz is a NYS licenced psychologist specializing in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. She is board certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology and is a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated summa cum laude with honors in psychology.  She then completed both her masters and doctorate degrees at St. John's University.  She spent a year of training in CBT at the NYU Child Study Center.  She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in CBT at the Bio-Behavioral Institute.  She specializes in anxiety disorders, with particular interest in OCD, and OC-spectrum disorders.  She has experience treating both children, adolescents, and adults as well as working with families. While she spends most of her time treating patients directly, she also supervises other psychologists in CBT and teaches an advanced CBT course at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She has published numerous articles, gives frequent  presentations and workshops, and has been featured on national TV.
