Course Description:
Post-operative complications can be fatal if not recognized and treated rapidly. Complications can lead to extended hospital stays, increased cost, and diminished quality of life. If you care for patients who receive sedation, anesthesia and analgesia in the operative, interventional or diagnostic setting, this seminar is for you. Utilizing case studies and the latest evidence-based practice guidelines, Delores "Dolly" Ireland will sharpen your understanding of the factors associated with perianesthesia care.

Many post-operative complications, including potentially-fatal malignant hyperthermia, can occur in the immediate post-operative period. Plan on attending this seminar and learn the many components needed to adequately evaluate patients' health histories and performance statuses, increase patient safety, and prevent crisis situations. Learn effective teaching strategies so patients know what to expect postoperatively and send your patients home with the tools they need to achieve their optimal outcomes. Whether you work in the outpatient or inpatient setting, this seminar will boost your confidence in caring for patients experiencing these and other complications.
Please refer to the course brochure for continuing education information.
