BARRY M. GREGORY, M.ED., ED.D., LMHC, NCC

Dr. Barry M. Gregory, Ed.D., M.Ed., is CEO of Recovery Consulting Solutions which provides training seminars for mental health and addiction professionals and consulting services for addiction treatment centers. He has over 20 years of research, teaching, clinical and consulting experience in the field specializing in the implementation of evidence-based treatments like CBT in everyday clinical practice. He has conducted over 700 national evidence-based training seminars including CBT for Children and Adolescents, CBT for PTSD and Trauma, CBT for Personality Disorders, and CBT for Depression and Anxiety. His interactive and entertaining training seminars have consistently received the highest evaluations from participants for bridging the gap between science and practice and for offering proven and practical CBT techniques to use in everyday clinical practice. His expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapies comes not only from his formal education, training and supervision, but also from his extensive clinical experiences working in the field. As a clinical director and consultant, Dr. Gregory has been instrumental in helping agencies implement evidence-based therapies like CBT into everyday clinical practices. He has also facilitated highly successful CBT teen groups with parents, supervised other therapists in CBT, and directly provided CBT to children, adolescents, young adults and families. His recent best-selling book The CBT Skills Workbook helps clinicians and therapists implement practical worksheets and exercises into everyday clinical practice. And finally, Dr. Gregory was trained and mentored by Dr. Thomas Dorworth who was trained by Dr. Albert Ellis and late Dr. G. Alan Marlatt, the internationally known Professor of Psychology at the University of Washington and Director of the Addictive Behaviors Research Center.
