An exercise to improve executive function

We can improve children's executive function skills by helping them understand how their brain works, what executive function skills are and how to identify what skill they need to use and when. Teaching children to identify the parts of a task, as well as when and how they will tackle each task, is a helpful way to encourage metacognitive thinking.

Here is an activity from 70 Play Activities to help children approach a task and determine how they can best respond.

Very good, visual organizational tool for multi-step projects
