AMY E CULLNAN ORLANDO, JD

Amy E. Cullnan Orlando, JD, is an associate attorney with Monahan Law Group, LLC, in Chicago. She handles guardianship, mental health and confidentiality law, and health care law matters. Ms. Orlando is a skilled litigator. She frequently handles contested guardianship and mental health matters.

 

Ms. Orlando has been a member of The Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association since 2011. She served as chair of the Chicago Bar Association Mental Health and Disability Law Committee in 2013-2014 and as vice-chair of the committee in 2012-2013. Ms. Orlando attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. While completing her law degree, Ms. Orlando served as Executive Justice of the Moot Court Honors Program and president of the Disability Law Organization. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Illinois State University. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Orlando worked as an aide to a special education teacher.

 

Ms. Orlando co-authored a chapter for the 2014 Supplement to the IICLE practice handbook, “Guardianship for Disabled Adults, Advance Directives, and Mental Health Law”. She has also assisted in updating the mental health law chapter in the Illinois Practice Series “The Law of Medical Practice in Illinois”. Ms. Orlando is committed to serving her community beyond her involvement in Monahan Law Group, LLC. She also volunteers her time, knowledge and skills for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, which provides free legal service to low-income individuals in the Chicago area.
