JOHN F KEARNS III, ESQUIRE

John F. Kearns III, Esquire, is a graduate of Fordham University and Syracuse College of Law and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  He was the first Connecticut attorney to be board certified as an elder law specialist by the National Elder Law Foundation under accreditation by the American Bar Association.  Attorney Kearns has served on the board of directors of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the National Elder Law Foundation.  In 1999, he was named a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, which is a national honor acknowledging the recipient’s highest degree of commitment to the service of mature persons.  Mr. Kearns is a past president of the Special Needs Alliance, LLC, a national network of disability lawyers.  Mr. Kearns serves on the board of directors of Seabury at Home Care, and the Autism Spectrum Resources of Connecticut, Inc.  In 2007, he was named a Connecticut “Super Lawyer” by Connecticut Magazine, an honor bestowed upon Connecticut’s top 5% of elder law attorneys, as chosen by his peers through independent research of Connecticut Magazine.
