AMY ROMBYER TRIPP, J.D.

Amy Rombyer Tripp, concentrates her practice in all areas of estate planning, but focuses on planning for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Amy has served on numerous community boards and in 2016 was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging. She is a fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel as well as a member of the Special Needs Alliance, an invitation-only nonprofit organization whose members are leaders in their states in the special needs area. Amy is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Amy has been consistently included in Michigan Super Lawyers from 2008 through 2016. She has been included in “Best Lawyers in America” since 2013; in addition, she was named the 2014 and 2017 Lansing Elder Law Lawyer of the Year.

 

Recently, Amy was selected to the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Women in the Law – 2016. She also received the 2015 Joe D. Sutton Call to Justice Award from Elder Law of Michigan, and the 2009 Nadene Mitcham Courage and Heart Award from the Michigan Campaign for Quality Care. Amy has served as chair of the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section of the State Bar of Michigan and chair of the Jackson County Bar Association. Amy is a frequent speaker on topics of elder law and special needs to other professionals, community groups, and nonprofit organizations
