PIERRE ROUZIER, MD

Pierre Rouzier is a family physician who practices sports medicine. He is the team physician at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. An assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, Dr. Rouzier is faculty for the primary care sports medicine fellowship. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians. A frequent speaker at national and regional conferences, he authored The Sports Medicine Patient Advisor, 3rd Edition, to share his passion for sports medicine with health professionals, coaches, athletes and parents.

Dr. Rouzier attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine and the
University of Massachusetts Family Practice Residency. He holds a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. Prior to his work at the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Rouzier worked in the Indian Health Service with the White Mountain Apache tribe and was the assistant director of the St. Mary's Family Practice Residency in Grand Junction, Colorado.
