Join Dr. Jamie Craig, licensed psychologist, and learn her keys for successful anxiety treatment. Dr. Craig integrates brain-based strategies for calming the anxious mind with client communication techniques that motivate change in your clients. Her approach promotes adherence to treatment and strengthens the therapeutic alliance - which is essential when working with anxious, worried, traumatized, or obsessive clients. Dr. Craig will give you tools and techniques to:

  • Identify and treat the roots of anxiety in both the amygdala and the cortex
  • Explain “the language of the amygdala” in an accessible, straight forward way
  • Identify how the cortex contributes to anxiety, and empower clients with strategies to resist anxiety-igniting cognitions

JAMIE L. CRAIG, PH.D.

Jamie Craig, PhD, is a licensed psychologist with over 13 years of experience in the mental health care field. As a clinician, Jamie has worked with children, adolescents and adults in outpatient, inpatient hospital and forensic settings. Throughout her career, Jamie has been passionate about staff education for non-clinical individuals involved in the system of care. Jamie is a former student and post-graduate collaborator of Dr. Catherine Pittman, the author of PESI’s Rewire Your Anxious Brain: How to Use the Neuroscience of Fear to End Anxiety, Panic, and Worry. Jamie has provided book critiques and served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. She is a fulltime mom, clinical psychology consultant, and national speaker.
