JEFFREY ZEIG, PHD Jeffrey Zeig, Ph.D. is the Founder and Director of Milton H. Erickson Foundation. Dr Zeig is the architect of The Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference, the Brief Therapy Conference, the Couples Conference, and the International Congresses on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. He is on the Editorial Board of numerous journals; Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 29, Psychotherapy); and Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice in Psychology of the National Academies of Practice and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. A clinical psychologist, Dr. Zeig has a private practice, and conducts workshops internationally (40 countries). He has edited, co-edited, authored or coauthored more than 20 books on psychotherapy that appear in 12 foreign languages.

STEPHEN GILLIGAN, PHD

Stephan Gilligan, Ph.D., was among the group of students who gathered around the founders of NLP during its formation at U.C. Santa Cruz from 1974-1977. Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson became his teachers and mentors. He became a premier teacher and practitioner of Ericksonian hypnotherapy. Motivated by his experiences as a therapist, a teacher, and by his own personal quest, he developed a new practice of radical awakening incorporating Ericksonian psychotherapy, Aikido, Buddhism, meditation, and the performance arts. His work, known as Self-relations Psychotherapy, reconnects mind-body processes and encourages and supports radical change. His eight books include the classic Therapeutic Trances, The Courage to Love, The Legacy of Milton Erickson, The Hero’s Journey (with Robert Dilts), and the forthcoming Generative Trance.

ERNEST ROSSI, PH.D.

Ernest Rossi is an internationally-renowned psychotherapist, teacher, and pioneer in the psychobiology of mind-body healing. He received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Erickson Foundation, 1980; American Association of Psychotherapy, 2003; and American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, 2008. Rossi has published 36 books and 175 papers on therapeutic hypnosis, psychotherapy, dreams, consciousness and creativity. His most recent book is Creating Consciousness: How Psychotherapists Can Facilitate Wonder, Wisdom, Beauty & Truth.

BILL O'HANLON, MS, LMFT

Bill O'Hanlon, MS, LMFT, has authored or co-authored 31 books, the latest being Quick Steps to Resolving Trauma (W.W. Norton, 2010). He has published 59 articles or book chapters. His books have been translated into 16 languages. He has appeared on Oprah (with his book Do One Thing Different), The Today Show, and a variety of other television and radio programs.

For the past 30+ years, Bill has given over 2,000 talks around the world. He has been a top-rated presenter at many national conferences and was awarded the Outstanding Mental Health Educator of the Year in 2001 by the New England Educational Institute. He is a Licensed Mental Health Professional, Certified Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Bill is clinical member of AAMFT (and winner of the 2003 New Mexico AMFT Distinguished Service Award), certified by the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists and a Fellow and a Board Member of the American Psychotherapy Association. Bill is known for his storytelling, irreverent humor, clear and accessible style and his boundless enthusiasm for whatever he is doing. His seminars are as entertaining as they are educational.

PETER A. LEVINE, PHD

PETER A. LEVINE, PHD Peter A. Levine, PhD, holds doctorates in both medical biophysics and psychology. The developer of Somatic Experiencing®, a body-awareness approach to healing trauma, and founder of the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute, which conducts trainings in this work throughout the world and in various indigenous cultures, with 26 faculty members and over five thousand students. Dr. Levine was a stress consultant for NASA on the development of the space shuttle project and was a member of the Institute of World Affairs Task Force of Psychologists for Social Responsibility in developing responses to large-scale disasters and ethnopolitical warfare. Levine’s international best seller, Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma, has been translated into 22 languages. His recent interests include the prevention of trauma in children, and he has co-written two books, with Maggie Kline, in the area: Trauma Through a Child’s Eyes and Trauma-Proofing Your Kids. His most recent book: Trauma and Memory: Brain and Body in a Search for the Living Past, was recently released to rave reviews. Levine’s original contribution to the field of body psychotherapy was honored in 2010 when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP). Levine was also honored as the recipient of the 2020 Psychotherapy Networker Lifetime Achievement Award.

Michael D. Yapko, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and marriage and family therapist residing in Fallbrook, California. He is internationally recognized for his work in depression and outcome-focused psychotherapy, routinely teaching to professional audiences all over the world. To date, he has been invited to present his innovative ideas and strategic methods to colleagues in 30 countries across six continents, and all over the United States.

Dr. Yapko has had a special interest which spans more than three decades in the intricacies of brief therapy, the clinical applications of directive and experiential methods, and proactively treating the disorder of major depression. He is the author of a dozen books and editor of three others, and numerous book chapters and articles on these subjects. These include his forthcoming book, Mindfulness and Hypnosis (scheduled for release from W.W. Norton in late 2011), his newest book, Depression is Contagious: How the Most Common Mood Disorder is Spreading Around the World and How to Stop It, as well as Hand-Me-Down Blues: How to Stop Depression from Spreading in Families, Treating Depression with Hypnosis, and Breaking the Patterns of Depression. His works have been translated into nine languages.

Dr. Yapko is a member of the American Psychological Association, a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a member of the International Society of Hypnosis, and a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
