Online Health Care Ethics Series

PESI HealthCare in collaboration with DIA Learning in partnership with The Center for Health Care Ethics at St. Louis University, has now made 5 courses available in a 13 part ethics educational series for nurses, advanced nurses and nurse practitioners.

Our ethics programs are a series of self-administered online courses available at anytime, on any computer with internet connection. They offer a comprehensive and insightful examination of today?s most critical clinical ethics issues. Our uniquely designed multi-media programs have been developed for professionals with busy schedules and who require educational programs accessible at anytime and anywhere.

Our courses have been approved by all major nurses associations and can be accomplished in approximately 12 hours and provide 14.4 contact hours.

The titles and subject of the available programs are:

- "To Live or Let Die" (The Terry Schiavo Story)

- "Patient Safety" deals with the growing problem of patient safety in health care.

- "Dying Well" deals with end of life care as an alternative to Physician Assisted Suicide.

- "Frontier of Hope and Concern" deals with Stem Cell Research.

- "Born too Soon" deals with Neo Natal Care and Decision-Making.

The cost of one 14.4 credit hour program is $160 with an additional $15 fee for those requiring a certificate.
