ABOUT JAMIE MARICH, Ph.D., LPCC-S, LICDC
Jamie Marich, Ph.D., LPCC-S, LICDC is a Licensed Supervising Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in the state of Ohio. Jamie specializes in addiction treatment (chemical & behavioral), PTSD/issues related to abuse and trauma, dissociative disorders and grief. Jamie has been a leader in mental health residential treatment and in chemical dependency treatment as an inpatient, outpatient and dual diagnosis counselor.
She is a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, the International Center for Clinical Excellence and the Ohio Counseling Association. Jamie is a Certified Rational Living Hypnotherapist, and she earned Certification in Disaster Thanatology through the TEAR Center in Maryland. She began her career in social services as a humanitarian aid worker in post-war Bosnia-Hercegovina, which opened her eyes to the widespread, horrific impact of traumatic stress and grief.
Jamie is a Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Consultant through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Her research efforts have been awarded by EMDRIA, taking the top prize for poster presentation research at the 2008 international conference. Jamie has several articles published in peer-reviewed and online journals about the clinical application of EMDR. Her dissertation, EMDR in Addiction Counseling Care was published as an academic text in Germany by VDM Verlag, and her clinician-friendly book, The Four Faces of EMDR: Simplifying Solutions for Complex Clients is in press with Premier Education Solutions. She is working on a third book on trauma-sensitive addiction treatment.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This seminar recording is intended for masters- and doctoral-level clinicians who have previous EMDR training and are experienced in working with trauma. This course assumes requisite knowledge of, and experience with, a traumatized population (i.e., clients with underlying simple or complex PTSD regardless of presenting issues). Listeners will leave the workshop with theoretical knowledge of the current trauma paradigm.
