Caroline Williams, Ph.D., MP, has worked in the psychology field for 15 years, treating children, adolescents, and adults. Her clients have had a variety of disorders, from depression and PTSD, to schizophrenia and personality disorders. She has experience with clients struggling with severe mental illness, with co-occurring medical problems, and with multiple psychological diagnoses. She has worked with Native American and Hispanic minority groups, and with those who fall through insurance gaps in today’s health care system.

Because of her work experience, Caroline knows that counselors, nurses, psychotherapists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, are often “on the front lines” with clients. These are the folks helping clients manage medication side effects and understand drug reactions. Clients often only have a few minutes with their prescriber, and need additional support. Caroline’s presentation on psychopharmacology provides the information you need in order to best help your patients.

Caroline’s engaging style makes her an excellent teacher. She uses metaphors from daily life to illustrate complex neurological and psychological concepts. Her vivid, down to earth teaching approach generates a guide for providers. Her presentation includes many case examples and takes home points that you can use to teach your clients about mental illness, and how medications work.
